MOMO Grand Opening

Hey guys!!

Whaddup?!

 I'm good and fine + busy with last assignment for college (hopefully it's done this year, amen!)

So, last Thursday I got invited by Kak Bintang to accompany her to MOMO's restaurant Grand Opening. She invited me because she knew that I'm one of the kinda guy who puts effort on Dress Code. Oh yeah, this time was East meet West.

We were kinda late because of the traffic + we didn't know the exact place of it. But we were arrived around 7 pm -ish from 6.30 pm scheduled :p By the time we were arrived, the place had already had a lot of people, so crowded. I saw some celebrities around and media.

We were asked to fill the guest book after that we got a coupon for a cocktail (I guess) and a glowing band. I saw a photo booth in near entrance door, it means PHOTO TIME!! hahaha.. But because there were a lot of people who got in line, so Kak Bintang and I decided to do the photo booth later.

Basically, MOMO has two floors. The first floor is a lounge with bar table and the second one is a what should I call it mmm a room with a room within.. Hahaha the other room is a kinda private room with a see through glass (I guess it's a smoking room). We stayed in second floor because it wasn't very crowdy like we saw in first floor.

We were offered with canape (for those who didn't know /me too tbh/ jadi Canape itu makanan2 kecil yang langsung makan dalam satu/dua suap aja. Waktu itu ada Sushi, Rice with sliced beef, Shrimp Tempura, Satay, and many more yang ga sempet ke foto karena terlalu sibuk makan lol but I guess you can check Ka Bintang's blog later /she took a lot of photos, while I didn't/) Oh ya, they offered us some alcohol & beer but because we don't drink so we only took mineral water.. I tried sparkling water, and  it didn't taste good,ew!

After we ate some canapes, we decided to use our coupon (*drums roll*). It was written 4 choices but we didn't know what exactly those were. But there was interesting drink with a Red Macaroon on the top of it. So I asked the bartender what it was, she said it's What Women Want and then we used the coupons than we wasted it for nothing.

But the funny thing was because we didn't drink alcohol so we just ate the Red Macaroon and threw away the martinis. Adios alcohol :p

After that, I hanged around to take some selfies with guests and tried the photobooth :p

And....in the middle of my journey to take some selfies (lol) someone came and told me that I won the best dress for Men!! Yeay :D :D They said I dressed perfectly well for East meets West theme. Woohoo! A woman asked me that where I came from, was it magazine. And I said I'm just regular guest. She taught that I was from a magazine institution or what but I said I am a beginner fashion blogger.

This event went very well actually, the opening, the music, the staff were very friendly and they knew exactly how the opening party should be. Even the party was full of people, but the food didn't run out before the event ends :p Thanks to UTTARA (the Event Organization) for the great work, MOMO Restaurant for the place+the foods and Zomato for the invitation. Last but not least huge thanks to Ka Bintang Mahacakrie for asking me to go the Grand Opening of MOMO.

#BARISAN : BA-NA-NA Arisan Chapter III

Halo Everyone!!

I'm back with BA-NA-NA event post. Yes! We just did our #BARISAN for the third times. For those of you who red my previous post about #BARISAN Chapter I might be wondering "Where is the Chapter II Ravi?" Well the answer is....I didn't go to #BARISAN Chapter II because of something. And fyi the Chapter II theme was "Cowboy". The dresscode was so cute!! Too bad I didn't join :((

Back to the topic

This time the theme was decided by Dina who got the Arisan in #BARISAN Chapter II which was :

Woah, it took a different level from the 2 chapters before, I mean how could be the Witch (Chapter I) turns in to Cowboy and then Tadaaaaaa we are the KIDS. Hahahaha but challenge accepted! Even tho I was so busy doing my last task in campus (skripsi) but I always spare my times for hanging out or having fun like this. I mean we need a refreshing moment after all right?

The Stacks Burger

I was so confused at that time, because I didn't bring my childhood stuff to my dormitory.. I left em behind in my house :( But then I realized

"Hey Ravi, Just because you can't HAVE it, doesn't mean you can't MAKE it!"

So I made my own version of the KID. I made a DIY beanies mixed with Happy Meal Toys collection. I wore a long t-shirt with a baggie jeans plus a denim vest. And yeah, I made few accessories from Happy Meal too and my friends love 'em and tried 'em too..

Ahhh, I'm really happy when my creations could be accepted for others :) Ka Bintang wore my Jerry Cheese Ring, Gaby tried almost my accesories, Nanda and Ardinhai also tried my Patrick Ring.

Too bad, Natasha, Ka Bena and Ka Vendryan can't be there because Ka Bena was doing a commercial break shooting. Good luck for that and can't wait to see you on TV! Oh yeah, the one who got the Arisan for this chapter is Kak Bintang! Can't wait to attend and join the next chapter!

1st Year Aniversarry of Me with BA-NA-NA

Halo Everyone!!

Fiuhhhh, what a busy month for the last semester student like me having my final task. If you guys are the last students too, maybe you know how I feel right now. So, last night I was having my sleeping trouble then I opened my facebook. Oh gosh, it's been a long time since the last time I "kepo" on my facebook.

I didn't know why but I opened BA-NA-NA facebook page last night. And I saw the pictures that'd been posted by BA-NA-NA. And woah, I found a picture of me with the rest of the BA-NA-NA Ambassadors for the first time we were doing the photoshoot (Cita-Cita Edition).

I was having my moment to recall the memories of it. Ok, I will tell you a story, the first time I joined the audition or casting (you named it) for BA-NA-NA Brand Ambassadors.

It started when I was in my class hanging out with my friends cuz we got no lecturer. And my friend said "Eh Rav, iwearbanana lagi buka audisi buat jadi Brand Ambassador mereka. Lo ikutan gih!" and I was like, was she offering me to go on audition for a fruit or me wearing a banana? Cause back then I was completely clueless about what iwearbanana is. And she told me that iwearbanana is a brand of a clothing line. She adored one of the shoes, Megan Foxy and she said to me that if I could make it happen (be one of the Brand Ambassadors) she was hoping that she could get one for free from me.

By the time I arrived in my dormitory, I googled and searched about what iwearbanana is. Long time short, I found that this creativity of the products was blowing my mind. The tees had twisted simple typography designs and the shoes were completely adorable. And I was like "hey Ravi, why don't ya give it a try? A failure won't hurt, but if you could pass then the happiness would be the greatest!".

Then I filled the form about my self. I could write the basic info so easily, because I wrote it often for another audition that I participated (and fail..) but when it came to last question which was telling me about yourself, I was about to tell something that could fit for the standard of Indonesian. But there was someone or something like I dunno a whisper (maybe) that told me "hey Ravi, have you learned something from writing or answering that kind of question from the failing audition / casting? Why don't you writing down story that completely showing your uniqueness, be who you are? You are not only offering your self as Indonesian right? You are representing your self!"

And I deleted the answer that I wrote down so perfectly and replacing it with something new, someone that's me. It was so silly to read but hey I should be proud of my self. Sorry that I couldn't share the answer here cause the file is already gone :(( Oh yeah, after filled the form,I attached 2 photos of me to complete the form. It was sent by e-mail.

Day by day passed,but I hadn't received the reply so I guessed that I didn't make it. Until one night I received an e-mail from Vendryana. And I was like "woaahh! who is she saying congratulation? for what?". I opened it up and that she through that e-mail informed that I was chosen for one of the BA-NA-NA Ambassadors!! There were 6 people who passed the audition (3 boys and 3 girls but too bad Natasha can't come in the 1st photoshoot). You have no idea how happy and grateful I was back then. And yeah, the first person that I told about this was my friend who told and suggested me to join the audition.

I contacted all the ambassadors through e-mail to congratulate them and ask their twitter accounts. Cause I felt that I had to make a relationship between the ambassador first before making it with the founders.

The day had come,we were going to have the first photoshoot on Sunday (if I'm not mistaken) May 12nd or 5th. And by that time I was informed, I was planning to take a train come back to my hometown. So, I brought my big luggage to the photo set. I was doing 2 tees photo shoot, Power Rangers long sleeves and Besok Senin long sleeves too. We were published officially as BA-NA-NA's Brand Ambassadors on May 13th

We had so much fun on set, but not only on set. We were having a lot of fun beside doing the photoshoot. A lot of stories that maybe I would share through this blog later.

Last but not least, thank you so much for this great opportunity and trust that is given for me. And also for accepting as my self to be one of people that represent iwearbanan. I've been very grateful since day one till now that I could now every single one of you, Ka Bintang, Ka Bena, Ka Vendryana, Gerry, Nanda, Natasha, Syani and also Dian+Irfan (even we spent just a lil time) and all of the people that I know from BA-NA-NA family, I wanna say THANK YOU GUYS I LOVE YOU and cannot wait to have another amazing year with you all.
